# How to assign a project to a translator?

After creating the project, project owners can click on the **Assign job to Translators link** to assign translation projects to translators by simply entering their email address and setting the delivery time.

An email will then be sent to the translator with a link to the translation job. Once the email has been sent, a notification pops up on the project owner’s management panel, which displays the following information: email address of the translator, job number and language pair.

At this point, the job summary will show the email of the translator to whom the translation has been assigned

In this case, once the job has been assigned Matecat automatically generates a new password for the job.
