MT Settings

Machine Translation (usually referred to as "MT") is an automated translation carried out by computer software, without human involvement. 

In Matecat there are several MT engine options that can respond to different translation needs.
If no MT engine is activated for a project, MT suggestions will not be provided for that project.

You can select the MT engine that you want to use for a particular project from the "Machine Translation" tab of the "Settings" panel.

MT settings can only be adjusted before a project has been created: after creation, the chosen MT settings cannot be edited.

The default Machine Translation Engine on Matecat is a version of ModernMT's adaptive MT minus its advanced features. You can find more details about it in the dedicated page.

You can also choose to use ModernMT one of the other available Machine Translation Engines.
